Quoting Woody:
Cool theme. Too bad the site structure had to be butchered. :'(

I'm still trying to figure out why the quick reply tables were messed with.
I already explained this to you, the original HTML you gave me was fucked, the table ceels did not close properly. We had to fix it on the forum view and the topic view too.

Eh? What are you on about? What got "butchered"?

If you mean the forum html then yeah me and ferret corrected it all. You know, when you open a <table> tag you're supposed to close it again. And when you nest tables you should put the inner one inside a <td> which in turn should be inside a <tr>. We had to correct it to stop this layout getting totally screwed at the bottom.

Now if the quick reply part isn't right then tell us what's up and we'll sort it out. We weren't trying to destroy your forum design. You could even change the code in the php file yourself if you like.

The quick reply looks fine anyway, it's changed to how it should look.

Well I know you people want to keep as little functionality in the Quick reply as possible, but I sometimes do miss the preview button at the quick reply.
I supose quick reply should be for quick replys, but I'm just to lazy to click the "post reply" link, because I'd just type my bb code and preview it :P

So you did, and I checked out my layout code after you signed off. I don't know what all this business about failing to close tables and cells is, but I don't see any of it. All my pages validated in strict HTML 4.01 before I called them complete, and this current layout has more open tables than a botulism restaurant on Tuesday morning.

Ok then sorry it must have been Ferret's fault. It doesn't matter now anyway - the layout doesn't break for the time being. Once I've got some higher priority stuff done I'll go through and make all the html validate.

As I say though, if you explain what's up with the quick reply box I'll fix it. Was the header supposed to be inside it?

Nah the quick reply is fine. I just wasn't used to seeing it inside the forum table.

In case I haven't mentioned it before: Souperguy puts my skins to shame. We should definitely default-ize it.

Uh yeah I've found some problems with that. For some reason the site applys the default css as well as the custom one. But souperguy has extra rules in its css file, so it adds some weird shit to the other styles.

Ferret why does it load the default every time? Does it need to?

While we're talking layout bugs, the html for the logged out post views is "interesting"

Stupid IE being stupid and not stupidly supporting alpha channel of decent image formats.

Retard Microsoft. There are work arounds I think for it, but hell if I know how.

Check the private messages window with this green theme as it seems screwed in IE, also however this may be due to the screen on this tablet pc, but the register screen is very hard to read.

Hey, that's weird, the smileys are .pngs, and it seems to work fine in internet explorer here. :S

And hey Dazzy, welcome to Booleansoup. :) With the screen skin it's indeed hard to read some pages (under which the messageboard), but Frim is redoing the whole theme.

Its pngs with an alpha channel that IE doesn't support. I fixed them ages ago.

Yeah there's some perculiarities with the default theme to iron out. The extremely small text is a boo boo in the html itself that needs correcting. And yes the colours will be tweaked.

I probably ought to test every page in every theme on Safari so you know how the 2% (or something) of all web users see the site.

Yeah I was looking for someone using Safari. If you could test that it'd be great. I need to download that some time.

Souperguy looks kind of weird in Opera but all the pages are usable. It doesn't have the IE logged-out crushing effect.
