Okaaaaay, Rince, I think it was Rince, said the site needed Worklogs akin to Flamingbird. Now I'ld like to know exactly how you'ld like them to work, what you'ld like to see etc etc.... So um, get cracking on brainstorming. ____________ laffo |

Personally, I think it's a waste, but I'll give my input... It should be as simple as possible. Adding entries should be just like writing posts. The peeps can be linked to the Ferretgames image uploader for their shitty screenshots. I guess we'll need a "Worklogs" link on the left there (like anyone will want to read them) which links to the general worklogs page which shows the most recently updated worklogs, and below that a list of all the worklogs. Hm, I agree with Woody's post above, and further I think it should be possible to make comments on worklog entries. I suppose you need a date+time label for every entry and comment too. Ah, and also one person should be able to have multiple worklogs for multiple projects. Maybe the user should be able to "lock" his own worklogs so it's obvious the development has stopped. Hm, also it should have the option to edit/delete entries (and their titles), and an option to edit the worklog title. And maybe the option to view all worklog entries of a project right after eachother. And worklogs can be really fun when having competitions (and I am sure BS will get to that point some time) or when seriously cool games are being developed. Just make it a simple forum, modify the code slightly if needed, then to list all by a certain user have a link attached to an SQL query. Maybe also add something like a wysiwyg editor to the editor box. The comments could then be self contained within a 'sub forum' for each entry! given the author of the worklog control of the comments! ____________ Dazzy |
