Sorry, im probably being really dense and retarded, and not looking hard enough, but how do you create and edit map files in fenix? DIV1 came with an image editor, but I've got FlameBird, and it lets you create a new .map file, but not edit it. Help would be appreciated. Thanks

There's an editor that comes with Fenix, you can also download it here: Fenix editor. I must say it's really nice to work with, it looks a bit like the old DIV editor too. It IS a bit bugged though, for example don't maximize any window, you won't be able to minimize it. :)

I would echo DTM and say that it's best to use png, you have more power.

The only problem is that you can't create map files with control points, but you can insert them into a loaded graphic with a function (set_control_point?). DIV always really needed that badly.

Use PNG's and your favourite editor. Also you can use normal FPG's, using FPG Edit (http://cdiv.sourceforge.net/ (->Descargas)). You will find more programs there, like FNT Edit, which might be useful.

That Fenix editor has actually corrupted FPGs for me more than once, so if you use that make sure you back-up often.
