I was wondering who of you bunch ever read e-books, and if so, are they free and WHERE ARE THEY.

Famous are of course the Thinking In C++ books, and I picked up the Programming The GameBoy Advance from another topic. Any other?

I tried reading ebooks on my GBA SP but I really rather have a fullsized book.

This reminds me - Moogle I promised you to send you my gba flashcard. I forgot it and should've taken it with me when I visited you, sorry. :( Shall I send it to you by post?

My personal definition allows rtf/txt too, but I might be frisky.

Ari Feldman's Designing Arcade Computer Game Graphics is pretty good. I can't think of any more off the top of my head but I might have a few link dumps of web sites with link dumps of e-books! You made me miss my train with such an intresting topic.

Don't tell the world. I'm not ashamed of my guilt although it does need covering now and then.

Sony have a thing out called and eReader it uses something called eInk. Basically it is like an electronic etch-a-sketch. I'd get one if I wasn't so fat.

That thing sounds pretty nice but I won't be getting one until Jenna Jameson starts a blog. Nice thing nonetheless.

Can someone explain to me why he likes reading e-books more than reading in a "real" book? reading on a screen (especially CRT screens) give me headaches, I can focus more on things in a real book, I even understand the context better if explained in a real book.

Nobody said they preferred reading e-books. Also you should change the refresh rate on your monitor if it is giving you headaches or just dump it. It must be old.

True, but I must say that it is easier to simply search in a PDF than using an index. Using the index is fast, but using ctrl+F is faster. It's useful for books with lots of pages.
It still gives me headaches on a flat_screen/LCD/Plasma though. I prefer paper.
