Can someone give me (or create one) a good list of good GUI's you can use for Fenix? I was busy creating one for my own, but it takes too much time. (a useless waste of time that is)

Most of us round here use Context, we have a syntax highlighter, and you can easily set it up for one-click compiles/executes.

Start -> Run: "edit"
Try that for size; it's got the blue(s) of DIV. ;)

conTEXT looks nice. Any editors with autocompletion methods (ctrl+space) like Eclipse and dreamweaver, but for fenix?

PSPad has them, dunno how to set it up for other languages though.
I'ld use it if there was a syntax highlighter.

Frimkron could you tell me how to set PSPad up for fenix? Then I could compare it with ConTEXT.

Yeah I keep doing it by accident when writing PHP. I hate it so I never remember what the key press is.

When I tried it some months ago the highligher was included by default. Of course I was suitably impressed.

Credits go to the infamous Frimkron for that?

It's true. There was a Fenix.ini file included with the program (and it was the official installer).

Although I still can't use it properly... I will try later... if it's good.

PSPAD is still too time-consuming. I'm too lazy for this rewriting-code-you-previously-typed shit. What's the laziest IDE?

The laziest IDE would be the one that lets you do most of the work. I nominate Notepad.

For fenix, I use FlameBird 2.11, from the guys at flamingbird.com, which has a program inspector, automatically compiles in debug mode, some syntax highlighting, a useful dropdown menu thing with a list of functions that it thinks you want to type (like with ms visual c++/basic/j/j# etc) and opens new documents in tabs. All with no setup.
But if you dont want that, I use Crimson Editor for html/css and php, and thats really good

Actually Flamebird isn't the GUI Dazzy was working on. It's Firebird with a new name, by spanish guys. I suppose yonni only downloaded it at Flamingbird.com. :)

And I just noticed that that website says Flamebird is discontinued...hm pitty :eyeroll:

However Dazzy if you're reading this, I really would like to see your GUI some day. Process folding is just too awesome to forget about.

There's another one at flamingbird.com, under showcase > tools. It looked pretty bad compared to flamebird but apparently it does have fenix syntax highlighting built in
