Philosophy.

And that is a question I've been asking myself for years!

It's Dutch, sorry. :-)

Die koeien.. lmfao.
-hovers over cows- MMMEUUUUU!

The fact that I hover over the cows implicates Chaos Theory. Everything has an impact on everything. The Big Bang has had an impact on something, that had an impact on something, etc. until we humans came to life.

Woah, if you click on one of each different cow.. it scared the hell out of me. lol. One cow went 'moo' and the other went with a loud 'béééé!!!'. :')

I read a book about questions like that. It is this book:
http://www.deslegte.com/boek/b … -9780552775366/
I recommend buying/reading it.

It says (like M-theory says) that there are about 20 parameters in the universe that make our existence possible. If we alter any of those parameters even the slightest bit, the universe couldn't exist. That is a big question indeed. Why are things the way they are?

Quotes from the book:
"“If this book has a lesson, it is that we are awfully lucky to be here-and by 'we' I mean every living thing. To attain any kind of life in this universe of ours appears to be quite an achievement. As humans we are doubly lucky, of course: We enjoy not only the privilege of existence but also the singular ability to appreciate it and even, in a multitude of ways, to make it better. It is a talent we have only barely begun to grasp.”

“Consider the fact that for 3.8 billion years, a period of time older than the Earth's mountains and rivers and oceans, every one of your forebears on both sides has been attractive enough to find a mate, healthy enough to reproduce, and sufficiently blessed by fate and circumstances to live long enough to do so. Not one of your pertinent ancestors was squashed, devoured, drowned, starved, stranded, stuck fast, untimely wounded, or otherwise deflected from its life's quest of delivering a tiny charge of genetic material to the right partner at the right moment in order to perpetuate the only possible sequence of hereditary combinations that could result -- eventually, astoundingly, and all too briefly -- in you.”

More quotes here. :)
