I have noticed that most DIV games have dissapeared from the Net. Before it is too late, I would like to make them available to all of us and some other crazy enough to play them these days.

I started putting together whatever little I could find. Go check your old backups and let's see what we can show gather.

The address of the games in on this blog

You can contact me at chclau@yahoo.com

As an idea, you can go to the Wayback machine and see what were the top rated or top downloaded Wips and GOs. I know that the downloads dont work on the WM, but some links do. I will post all those I have, around 10-20.

Hi Dennis,

As I said, I only have 10 or 20. I am posting them when I have time, I run each one of them, take the screenshots, etc. Right now the site has 3 download pages, the two that you mentioned and Metula (from me). I am still searching for the files of Lunar Lander, which I thought I had until I run them again and noticed it was not the last version. The blog shows only 2 games per page.

Anyway, please search and send me what you've got

DoctorN

The games were released for public domain once the authors sent them to Div-Arena.

The studio itself is a commercial program and uploading it for common download is not something I want to do, nor is legal.
Sorry.

I checked again. It is still being sold, new copies, by Amazon.

BTW, I don't see any interest in downloading the games I have already put, nor I have received any additional games from you.

I would really like to put more there, since right now it is rather thin, and I don't have many more to add. I have contacted adherbal, I am waiting for his response (dunno if he found backups). I would also like to hear from others.

most of it is embarrassing rubbish I made while learning to program and so should probably not be allowed to see the light of day again.

Why not? At least it shows how dedicated you were. Why is it embarassing? If every code you wrote so may years ago is embarrassing, then it should be embarrassing for everyone else too because everyone makes mistakes. So every arcade game's source code is embarrassing? The pacman source code is embarrassing? Your code nowadays would be embarrassing in 10 years from now?

I no longer have ANY of my Div games - I lost them all as a result of several computer deaths, changing ISPs (thereby losing my websites - should have expected that, but didn't) and moving to other languages. They're all long gone now - source and .EXEs. :(

With regard to removing JetPak; I updated it a few years later in PlayBasic. I'd rather people had access to that better (non DOS) version.

If that is the reason Ian, and if you agree, I can put them both on the same page...
