today was my first day and it was quit cool... seems like many guys there and girls... have no idea in computers which is a plus to me lol, math is wierd now... linear algebra looks like fun right now, and so does the bible of groups :P

luckily for those subjects I got good teachers... about discret math I can't compliment at all, the guy can barly speak and pronouniciate words his a joke and I don't understand his indukzi or what ever it is called O_O

computer sciense (c/c++) is fun when you do the tutorials from google while the teacher talks to him self about all sort of dialogs that he sees in his head... he isn't focused with his class and can't explain to the noobs some raely basic things like how to launch visual studio 2008 and how to explain what is void main or include means...
it took him 2 hours to make us write hellow world... its 4 lines~!!! for crying out loud wtf?!

well except that it was quit fun I might say =]
so wish me luck on my new quest for my first degree in computer sciense~! :D may I finish it with good grades Amen

I wish I had Math when I studied computer science :( . We didn't and I always found that a real shame, since I was good at it in highschool and they did require it to start the study...
I think it's better to be challenged then to be bored, since when you're bored, something dies. When your challenged, something grows. That's my word of wisdom for today folks.

It must be EZ PZ for you ariel, you have an advance. You have programmed games already and some have never programmed before in their life! Experience counts more than knowledge.

your right Dennis I do feel advantage with the expirience I already have, shame I can't say that about math =]

yesterday I was siting with my dad and he was teaching me some math, and then I just realized how my teachers don't realy explain the meterial in a way that I understand it... its as if they talk in another language, and I wonder why that's the case? I mean they have tought many students before me so there expirience should be big anought to know how to communicate with fresh year one students...

maybe its one of those "ways" to let only the skilled students pass the first semester, well I don't know...

because many of the students that sit with me in class don't have any computer background and I have no idea what they are doing there or expect to learn... they never programed and it seems they have a veryhard time even accessing the visual studio 2008 program on the computer~!

Computer science... do you graduate as a ICT engineer or something similiar? It sounds awfully familiar to what I'm studying. I started last year but was a bit lazy so I'm doing most of the courses again. Well, mostly I missed a lot maths.

Good luck anyways.

Nah I use Arch. It's sane, unlike both Gentoo and Ubuntu.

Nowadays everyone needs to become "certified" or something. It's kinda like "your diploma doesn't matter, but do you have a certificate?" And they are like "OH MY GOD AMAZING!" because you read a book and googled some multiple choice questions.

And an Ubuntu professional who does not have the money to certificate cannot get a job. How lame. I also heard the IT sector is only now starting to feel the impact of the financial crisis, so maybe certification can be interesting to do. I'm going to study to become OCA in PL/SQL. (knowing that PL/SQL is being replaced by Java and likes, this could be useless but the market is still open for PL/SQL, plus: my boss pays te bill)

Haha, did you know? Ubuntu, actually, entirely based on the sound of the word could be interpreted as a Dutch question sentence "How do you scrub?" which is amazingly funny. Imagine a product that would be called "Hadyooscrub"?

Anyone who is recruiting people based on some shitty certificate that means nothing has a terrible recruitment process and a terrible HR dept. and you wouldn't want to work for them anyway.
