Everytime I add a new variable or process to the main source,
Flamebird says "Collecting info about project..." and then the damn IDE crashes.

It's so annoying... is there any way to work around or prevent this bug?

Thats never happened to me before, and I've used fenix with flamebird since I knew fenix existed. What version are you using? (I'm using 2.2.1.1)

Use a commandline.

I`m using 2.2.1.1 as well, and it happens all the time (not in the included sources).

Quoting Eckolin:
Use a commandline.

Okay, let me add something to the question: "...and still keep using FB2."

Sorry I can't fix your problem, because it never happens to me.

By the way, does anyone know the guy who makes FlameBird, it would just be really useful if he added some keyboard shortcuts (F5>compile-and-run especially, as well as CTRL+O>open)

I wondered about that yonni, but for now you can use Macro Scheduler - it runs in the system tray and listens to your key presses, you can make a macro that compiles and runs your program when you press F5.

I believe ConTEXT is the most useful IDE for Fenix. It has shortcuts, one-button-compile-run by using a windows batch (commands) and syntax highlighting.

I have some problems using local variables sometimes in Fenix 0.84a

i don't use projects, i just use source files. have you tried just deleting your version of FB2 and unzipping it onto your computer again? i was having problems with it crashing on me aswell (for different reasons), and deleted it. haven't had any problems since, although i don't use it to compile or execute, only to write code.

good point t money, I use source files too, not projects. Also, I discovered that F9 compiles and runs in FB2, and you can open with Alt+F then O (I think).

Hello, I'm one of flamebird developers. Does the bug still happen?

And for the keyboard shortcuts... is something to fix...

Should you ever found bugs or think of any feature you would
like to find in FB I encourage you to submit them using the SF project page tracker. I know there are spanish messages in the tracker but just ignore them. I try to listen your suggestions, for example, I added the option to configure the editor as one of you suggested once (some recent screenshots can be found in the webpage).

thanks danko, where exactly is that webpage?

I also recently found the bug, whichstopped after a bit. It originally emerged after downloading the most recent fenix pack (containing another copy of FB2), it froze as described above wherever and however you opened either copy, but after a while it loaded fine without the syntax highlighting and then it fixed itself completely.

Web page is http://fbtwo.sf.net and the project page at sourceforge is http://www.sf.net/projects/fbtwo.

Well I don't know where to start looking for the bug so we'll have to wait for the next release. Many changes have been introduced and the error may have disappeared it self.

Thanks
