right getting into fenix after not having coded in DIV for more than a year means ive forgotten alot of the basics, and the flamingbird.com language docs are friggin useless with all the gaps. scroll[0].x++; this doesnt work. How do i get the scroll to move? ____________ "clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right. here i am, stuck in the middle with you." ~Stealers Wheel |

Try taking out the [0] or changing the addition to subtraction or changing the x to y or changing anything else. You've used start_scroll yeah?

ive tried all of those already and none of them work. The compiler gives me the error that x (or y) is an unknown identifier. wtf? is there a special scrollx variable i dont know? (yes i have used start_scroll) [Edited on January 30, 2006 by Caspah] ____________ "clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right. here i am, stuck in the middle with you." ~Stealers Wheel |

right ive botch solved the first problem by making a "camera" process and making using scroll[0].camera=id; but its only given me a multitude of other problems start_scroll(0,env_file,1,0,0,1); what does the last parameter mean? at 0 the screen refuses to move and at 1 c_screen processes collide with c_scroll processes as though they are on the same plane. Becasue Casper, the scroll in DIV/Fenix is too limiting and often slow. It's just not good. Making your own isn't hard at all. ____________ laffo |
