Fullblown free awesomeness
GravPong
By g105b (version 1.0)
This version is complete enough to be called
version '1' but there are a few modifications
planned for the next version:
- Single player
- Multiplayer across a network
- Obstacles
Instructions
A simple game of pong... with gravity. The game
resembles squash.
Keep the ball up for as long as possible, with
increasing power on each hit.
Red Player: Left / Right
Blue Player: Mouse Left / Mouse Right
I never usually submit any of my games because I never finish them to a decent standard. But I'm gonna start finishing off my old projects because this is a great community; I want to be part of it.

Hey g105b, I see you made your way to Boolean Soup. Welcome. The game is fine. The graphics are nice, and I like the idea how the pads switch turn. It's too bad though it's only multiplayer (I'm all alone :() Also at some point the ball goes so fast it always bounces to the top of the screen. As for network multiplayer, you should take a look at Sandman's network.dll, it's very easy to use, you'll find a thread about it on the fenix forum.
Good luck with it!

Goodpoints:
- I like the idea of using gravity for the ball, gives it a new dimension it seems.
- Gameplay is nice, good movement, paddles go up and down with their turns.
- Graphics are nice, polished and good looking
- Sound and music would be very fitting and much nicer if you initialised the audio with 44100Hz ( do sound_freq=44100; once at the very beginning of your code, before any soundrelated function)
Bad points:
- Sound crackles
General points:
- Ball goes half off the screen before bouncing
- Maybe it's more fun when you go half off the screen with the paddle, and you appear half on the other side, as opposed to what you currently have.
A nice complete game.

nice game. Shame about the lack of features. The one criticism I would have is that the movement of the background is jerky, but i especially liked the screen to choose a resolution.

yeah I add the resolution screen to my games because I use a wide screen monitor, and when a 1024x768 is displayed full screen, the pixes do not look ... clean .. because they are stretched slightly. But then if I used a 1280x800 resolution for my games, the games will be restricted to widescreen users.
