As from what Ecko has told me: There's a bug that keeps you from building units when you start a new game. But when you press "load game" (without having saved before) you are able to build units. You can capture enemy towns by standing on them with at least one of your units for a certain amount of turns. Farms and stuff can be switched on or off by clicking them. Workpower will be automatically distributed over the industries that are switched on. The main slide bar is the percentage of workpower that'll go to the food industry. ____________ Personal website: http://www.loijson.com |

The competition release has some odd bugs in it. Loading and saving is at your own risk (fixed in patch). I'm trying to pinpoint the not-building-ninja's bug, but it's proving very well hidden. The game has more loose ends that I'll try to address aswell. As for the goal of the game, you need to conquer all towns. Build an army and capture all other towns. A good begin would be to set taxes to maximum. This will get you a large amount of gold quickly. Happiness has little effect at this time, so you can get away with it... Turn off all industries (LMB), except for one farm and one cattle farm. Putting all labour in a single farm will make it more efficient. Max labour in an industry is 10 people. Set food percentage to 100%. Enabled extra industries when you see people are unemployed. (Main window, number behind the farmer's head) At this point you could consider making ninja's. Some ninjas have a ranged attack while others are melee. Send them to the nearby city and conquer it by putting your soldiers on the town. Adding bonuses to units in friendly towns is being considered. Sadly the diplomacy feature wasn't implemented due to lack of time. It would have opened new strategies. The trader unit is also absent. This would have allowed transfer of goods between towns. If you're very curious you can find the graphics in the fpg's. I'll see how we should proceed, as soon as Ariel comes back. P.S. The AI doesn't cheat. You could look at what it does for clues. [Edited on February 6, 2007 by Eckolin] ____________ Maker of Games... Wisdom is supreme; therefore get wisdom. Need help with coding? Mr. Woody has been so kind as to update the Glowing Ninja page with my quick patch. Changes in 1.01 - Ninjas can now be trained. - Towns show health - Smooth camera focus - Saving / Loading fixed - Neutral towns defend themselves and may upgrade buildings. - New bugs introduced. The lesser flaws will be corrected in due time. ____________ Maker of Games... Wisdom is supreme; therefore get wisdom. Need help with coding? I probably wrote something similar. |

I just played the game with Eckolin on msn meanwile. Once you get the hang of it, it is most fun, despite the bugs that need to get solved.

Everything I could see has been tooltipped. Now to fix that strange saving loading bug (again/still?). For some reason dozens of ninjas spawn whenever I load a game... (Edit: Brilliant insight reveals nature of the bug. Fix will have to wait till tomorrow) [Edited on February 20, 2007 by Eckolin] ____________ Maker of Games...
