Hey all, Here I'll describe the prizes in more details. I will update this thread every once in a while with new prize choices (for the first prize), as I'll be looking in shops and stores for nice items. Some prizes might also be upgraded - because prices drop over time we might actually be able to offer upgraded models instead of the current ones. Please note that the first prize will be brand new, and that the second and third prize consist out of donated games/items by the admins/mods. Yes, that means those are second hand, but they were collected for you with LOVE (hence the catfood and spaghetti). First prize: An expensive hardware item of choice! The winner can choose one out of multiple awesome hardware items. If a team wins the first prize, there are different choices so each winner can have a prize. Single prizes: These are the prize choices if a single person wins the big first prize (he/she can chose one of them). A single winner may also chose two different items from the teamprizes. Windows Vista home basic full UK/NL 32bit or 64bit Windows Vista! Microsoft's new operating system. This is the full version, not the upgrade. Windows Vista is awesome, I ran a leaked version for a couple of years myself and there are just so many improvements in windows explorer that that would already be worth buying it for! Not to mention the awesome sidebar with gadgets, the incredible prettyness, flip3D, instant search etc. Sweex Blaze MP4 player 2GB Incredible video & music player with 2 GB of memory. Hahaha then who are the judges :-) Is the competition also being promoted outside Booleansoup? I think posting this on gamedev.com might get a few competitors. The more entries the better right? ____________ blog.htbaa.com |

Games are being judged by the admins/mods who don't enter and don't mind judging (you can also find that on the competition page). Who that will be? We'll find out when the competition is over. The competition will certainly be promoted outside Boolean Soup, I still have to get to that though, probably tomorrow. Yeah the more entries the better. ____________ Personal website: http://www.loijson.com |

Quoting Caspah: Quick Question: Multiple entries allowed? Yes, although you must realize that the compo is not a lottery and multiple entries don't necessarily give you more chance to win. I think you'd spend your time better to polish one entry than to enter with multiple unpolished quick games. What exactly were you planning on if I may ask? ____________ Personal website: http://www.loijson.com |

Quoting Caspah: Smaller games :) Personally I'd vote for a very large game any time. Say GTA:SA has lots of bugs and annoyances, but I find it better than say Pacman. (Yes yada yada can't compare yada yada it's an example yada yada). So that small game better be fucking awesome if it were to win (IMO). Furthermore I don't like the idea of multiple entries, then the compo becomes like a lottery. And after talking with Rince, I thought about it some more and I am completely against it. Don't know if the rule is still changable (well it's not 5 October yet), but I hope so. ____________ BennuWiki Yes, my avatar has grey borders in IE (so get a decent browser) ROOFLEZ ROOFLEZ |

Apparently you are able to read, but I didn't force anything on 'us all', not very clear where you got that from. If I followed your way of thinking I could say you are forcing the opposite on 'us'. It was just a suggestion, keep your pants on, it's not for me to decide. ____________ BennuWiki Yes, my avatar has grey borders in IE (so get a decent browser) ROOFLEZ ROOFLEZ |
