A new project I started ,while I was waiting for input for Dark Resurrection. The Sam-Launcher is very much complete. Sams are heat-seeking and leave a smoke-trail. When 4 missiles are launched , then the unit will reload itself in 10 seconds. Airwolf will deploy a sunburst if there's a SAM-threat. A Sam-Missile will first actively seek for sunbursts and then for Airwolf . Of course when Airwolf is destroyed , a missile will just continue flying until it hits another target ( or ground.... or mountain..... or its "existence-counter" reaches zero, and it will simply blow-up ) Airwolf still needs tinkering though. I'm not happy about the turbo-section. The landing gear is retractable though , just like the weapons in the sponsons. The rotors come in two sets , one set is for low torque-speeds , the other is for high speed ( obviously ) I did it this way because using the rotor-model for high-speeds makes it look like it just flashes on and off - meaning: turning the rotor over its y-axis at 8 degrees per loop , makes it follow in its own footsteps Helicopter Banking is working great . Applying Screenblur for when it's using turbo is coming along nicely.

I use Gamespace. It really is a good program to model in. look here for more information http://www.caligari.com/gamespace/default.asp And here are some other models I've made. These versions are untextured, but textured versions are available. I'm very busy right now , so these will have to wait. sorry about that. in the meantime.. enjoy

Looking good! What kind of game will it be exactly? You get to play the helicopter and then you shoot down ground units and other air units? I have used Truespace for a while in the past, it's very nice and has a characteristic feeling, I suppose gamespace is nice too. GameSpace is the "little brother" of TrueSpace. When Truespace gets upgraded , so does GameSpace . Neat huh? About the Game: The game is going to be mission-based. The storyline of a number of missions are from episodes of the TV-series. The game starts with mission zero. Mission zero is actually not playable: You see Airwolf , but you cannot control it. One of the reasons is to soften up the player into thinking: hey I wanna fly that thing ! Moffett is flying it during a test. When the test is finished , He hijacks Airwolf , blows up the command center and takes off to Libya ( just like the 1st episode) Instead of showing a recording , i'm planning to show it in real-time. I've already done some tests with multiple camera-setups. I've also recreated the command-center from a number of photo's from that episode. ( I'll post a screenshot as soon as possible , promise ). The windows are already primed. When a bullet hits a window , it will explode into little shards of glass , complete with fire and smoke . Mission one starts with Stringfellow infiltrating Libya , searching for and retrieving Airwolf , chasing and killing Moffett Mission two has a sequence in which you must protect Dominic Santini from a bunch of murderous Vietnam-Veterans in Bell-Helicopters (actually an episode ) And there's a mission that pits you against an experimental helicopter complete with rockets ( something like a "Russian Organ" with rotors ) ( another tv-episode) Another mission will contain an aerial fight between AIRWOLF and... REDWOLF ( yet another an episode ) [Edited on July 6, 2006 by Peter van Dalen] ____________ |

Looks awsome, but I think you may be blurring too much, it looks kinda like it would be hard to see anything at all, but maybe thats the effect your going for. I cant really say how well it would work untill you play the game i spose. Anywho, I'm sure you know what your doing.

The visibility would be a lot better if you move, a still picture like this is not good to rate the blurring.

Hi peeps, The Huey is nearly finished. Only an appropriate texture for the skids and rotors , and this one's done
Cockpitdoors can be opened , the doors in the rear can slide open . ALL windows are "see-through" when it's loaded in Blitz3D. I made a (very) small movie in the beginning of airwolf's development. No Dennis, it's not a joke "Worst" refers to the number of frames (or lack thereof) while the program is running. It's very handy to keep track of sudden drops in frames. Especially if it's running on a variety of computers. Well,... while I'm at it, have some more screenies of airwolf (texture phase)
Left to do: 1- Rotors (main + rear) and turbo-engines 2- still tinkering with the texture at the cockpit. 3- texturing gun pods 4- modelling and texturing of rocketpod current TRIScount: a whopping 7100 !! [Edited on October 16, 2006 by Frimkron] ____________ |
