What software do you all use to make FLC/FLI animations for your games. I've been googling around, and the best I could find is Jasc Animation Shop, which has been discontinued since Corel bought Jasc, and you can no longer downlaod it. Also, do you know any animation libraries on tinternet? Merci ____________ |

Theres a DLL you can do it with. It only works with some versions of Fenix, though. If you can't get hold of it, give me a buzz and I'll send it over

yeah, i got the mpeg.dll and smpeg.dll with my version of fenix (0.84b i think). mpeg.dll wont load unless smepg.dll is in the same folder. And even then I can't get the damn thing to play anything.

Use 0.84a. It's better, in my opinion, than 0.84b or 0.83

One bugfix might have created some error elsewhere. 0.84b's priorities are fucked up. 0.83 is slower than 0.84a and doesn't have dump_type and restore_type. Moreover, 0.84a seems to have more functions. Ontopic, though, I'd like to get to know this FLI stuff too, specifications, programs, etc. Is it a compact format, like MPEG? Or is it like a bunch of BMPs packed together? And I could send you Jasc Animation Shop 3, if you so wish; it might be handy for you to come in the chatroom, so I can send it. ____________ BennuWiki Yes, my avatar has grey borders in IE (so get a decent browser) ROOFLEZ ROOFLEZ |

I don't know much about FLI/FLC either, appart from it was included in the original DIV, and i read somewhere that its treated as some sort of standard. Thanks sandman, could you send it to me over MSN instead if you have it? ____________ |

Hey I have the full version of Jasc Animation Shop 3 on the front of a mag CD. You can draw your own animations in it and save them as FLC/FLI or convert other types of animation/movie format. I really enjoy using it. If you would like I could send the application, its only a few MB, and its been made free now since the takeover so it wouldn't be naughty and illegal would it? ____________ .g105b'' |
