Dark GDK Experimentation (OScoder's Worklog)

Log of my experiments using Dark GDK RSS Feed

Progress and screenshot

Well, I'm making progress with my experimentation, though I must report that the docs for DarkGDK are a little confusing, and could do with containinf more information! Anyway, I decided to make a small shooter project to test the engine out, which is almost done. The code is jumbled as hell as I was rushing to make something happen, but hey, it works!

Here's a screenshot:

I'll upload it here in a couple days, once I've done a little polishment.

did you model the terrain yourself?

I've been looking for terrain editors lately, I must have tried all of them, but they all seem really obtuse to use or require shaders and too many texture layers.

the barrle of the rifle should br metalic black or chrome, the reloading handl's ball should be bigger and the pipe whitch holds it a bit curved =]

the barlle is too short, it must be longer then the wood part =]

the clip magazine should be abit farther under the ensemble which should be closer to the handle... when u reload the inside ensemble is been pulled towared the shooters face, which makes him move his face while reloading =]

part of thos minor problems... the graphics are awsome!!! =]]

I'll be very happy looking at ur future progress on this game =] it looks very promising =D

All media came with darkGDK I'm afraid (except I modded the terrain texture).
