To revive this topic a little bit...

Windows 10 Pro. It came on a bootable USB-stick instead of discs. It holds good features, like multiple desktops (as in linux) and an "old open files" list that goes back a lot of days. There is a search button to search the computer. And I like that the start bar is back. I am using the bar to display RSS feeds on. My HP computer has a type of instant boot-up to Windows, it boots in 2 seconds.

There are a lot of settings on this version of Windows, basically an old control panel and settings menus. Like it or not! :yay:

linux mint :D
mostly because I got used to ubuntu and I like the Cinnamon desktop. Then Ubuntu turned in to some abomination that looked like a mobile OS. (You can actually have applications as separate in the taskbar in Cinnamon like good old Windows XP)

We use Ubuntu 18 at programming daycare. It is basically unclear that it is Ubuntu from the logos used when starting up the computer. It works with... KDE, with a white type of skin. When I updated KDE I lost my side bar setting. I had a well set side bar on the right, with quick start programs, a search, lock, and logout buttons.
