Dear all I have been working with the DIV2 code, and have finally successfully ported it to modern platforms. This is the DIV you have all been waiting for. Only 15 years late. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P8EVTITJ3Yg <- native linux platform IDE demo http://js.mikedx.co.uk/ <- div games compiled to javascript / html5 We have ports for the following platforms: DOS Linux Raspberry Pi Android OSX Windows HTML/Javascript Since the code is now standardised and portable, future targets are now possible. This is not a remake, or a clone. This is the real deal. The things that do not work currently are: Mode8 Network Sprite Generator I have the full support of Daniel Navarro for this version, which I hope to share with you all very soon. Please enjoy the web based demos http://js.mikedx.co.uk/tutor7.html <-- mode 7 http://js.mikedx.co.uk/barman.html <-- Rick Meteor http://js.mikedx.co.uk/vcc.html <-- Vertically challenged Christmas http://js.mikedx.co.uk/tutor0b.html <-- falling rock http://js.mikedx.co.uk/steroid.html <-- asteroids http://js.mikedx.co.uk/noid.html <-- noid game http://js.mikedx.co.uk/galax.html <-- galaxians shooter http://js.mikedx.co.uk/speed.html <-- speed for dummies http://js.mikedx.co.uk/pacoman.html <--- pacoman game This is the one... Stay tuned and check http://div-arena.co.uk for the latest info. DIV is back. Imagine it, create it, play it, share it, enjoy it. [Edited on November 14, 2015 by JohnSmith] ____________ |

I took a look at it. The games run very very fast in my browser. Rick Meteor was one of my favorites, but I can hardly see what the customers have. Castle of Dr Malvado is also too fast. I get 150 FPS or something. [Edited on November 13, 2015 by Dennis] ____________ Kwakkel |

This is amazing. Just wish I hadn't lost most of my old source codes.

Quoting Dennis: I took a look at it. The games run very very fast in my browser. Rick Meteor was one of my favorites, but I can hardly see what the customers have. Castle of Dr Malvado is also too fast. I get 150 FPS or something. Interesting. What browser/os is that? I'n running chrome and get slightly lower fps than native if anything. ____________ |

Strangely it only happens on my home PC at home which runs Windows 10 and Chrome (don't know the version) I don't seem to have any problems on this laptop using Windows 7 and Chrome version 46.0.2490.86 m. I'll compare it to my Chrome version at home tonight (if I think about it) ____________ Kwakkel |

Home PC has the same version of Chrome but Windows 10. Some games seem to run fine however. Oh and galactic commander seems a bit off with the mouse controls. the mouse cursor is m9ving at its own pace but the windows mouse pointer is moving at another speed on top of it, as soon the windows mouse leaves the canvas you lose control of the game. I do remember Castle of DR malvado had a set_fps() command at the beginning of the game loop (If I remember correctly) Maybe that causes it to overclock? And Bert The Barbarian is too slow... It is as if the games are dependant on my CPU's speed. [Edited on November 17, 2015 by Dennis] ____________ Kwakkel |

Due to the way they are made, they are all a little bit off. Some work better than others. The windows build now works quite well, and all platforms except html5 have a working editor / compiler. ____________ |
