Right, I found this interesting (well I found it interesting) book in the library about Chaos Theory and it kinda teaches it through computers and programming, so I thought I might give it a little go

I might be able to run the exercises and examples in fenix, 'cause some of the small bits I glanced at look like they could translate kinda well to fenix

But the thing is that the code he uses in the book is Turbo Pascal (I think version 2 maybe) and Visual Basic 3 (It's kinda an old book). So I was wondering if anyone knew how close I could get to those languages on Windows or Linux. Obviously I wont be able to find the versions he uses 'cause they're ancient, but something free and as similar as possible would be good

Looking around I've seen Turbo Pascal 5.5 and 6 going for free, and then there's stuff like free basic, but I have no idea how likely it is that these will be similar enough to the old versions

Just looking for any knowledge you guys may or may not have on the subject
