God VS Capitalism (ferminho's Worklog)

Something to show

I've been very busy these days (studying+working, not a nice combo) so I've been making *very* slow progresses recently. I'm currently making sprites, I had some trouble starting due to some issues and finally it seems it's going OK.

I'll show something, although I finished it more than a week ago. It's the introduction of the game (I know, it should be the last thing to do, and I always do but this time I needed to do it this way).

All the game is *mostly* black & white (colors, not the game) with a (kind of) Sin City esthetic. I don't usually draw like this so I used the making of the intro to get used to it and design God & his guide Tiresias.

The intro is just a comic. I uploaded these screens some time ago and they're not the final version (when I get home I'll upload the latest ones). They probably have some typos and missing things (like the cigar in the last one). Anyways, English is not my first language so if you spot something strange please tell me :)

Firstly, this looks awsome, can't wait to see the real thing. I did go through and to make sure it all makes sense in english for you (I live there). Here's what I found:

"Why does it rain above the clouds" is a direct question, for just a though said aloud, "why it rains above the clouds" makes more sense.

You would say "in the near future" rather than "in a near future".

I was bit confused by "horsesteps" personally I'd use "hoof-falls".

Use "one step from destruction" rather than "one step next to ...".
"Then he started talking" is better word order than "He started talking then"
It's "commotion" rather than "conmotion"
"human on earth" makes more sense than "human in earth"

use "sharp-eyed", "sharpened-eyed" makes it sound like he's taken a pencil sharpener to his eyeball.

I hope all that helps. It is pretty awsome, keep it up!

That was really cool. A bit wordy maybe, but I like the concept. God is about to kick some arse.

Wow man that's amazing. You're a very good drawer (and you really know how to shape the right atmosphere), and I do like how one frame can keep my attention for so long with the text. If your game is going to be cool like this, then well,...other competitors watch out! ;)

Comic 2 typo: "anf of course" -> "and of course"

Isis is hot! Nice to see these, and as Rincewind said, if your game is anything like these the competititors better watch their steps.
