Highway Havoc
Highway Havoc is an entry in the 72-hour game programming competition at Pixelation. The genre was mindless violence, and I think we succeeded in making it violent enough :D.
The goal of the game is to cause as much carnage as possible on a highway. This includes running down pedestrians, causing car pileups, leading police cars into oncoming traffic, and preferably a combination for the most points. However, the best way to score points is not to ram cars into others, but to scare them into driving into other traffic so that little damage is taken to you. Also, causing a ton of accidents in a short period scores the highest points. You'll know you're doing it right when you get a Big, Huge, or even Monstrous Combo.
There's a bug in this which slows down the game the more you play. Unfortunately, I don't have the Fenix source code. Once the framerate starts dropping you're better off just restarting the game.

For some reason, my car can get knocked off the left of the screen. It's really frustrating because thats what stops this game getting a 4 + 1/2. Love the granny noise

This is a really cool game, and I'd recommend it to everyone, but you should have left the Judas Priest song in it. That made the game so much sweeter.

It's too bad the competition was extremely strict about no premade materials, and BREAKING THE LAW was very much premade. I probably should have stuck it back in for the general release.
Herb and I were actually working on Highway Havoc 2 at one point. It featured The Offspring's profanity-packed road rage anthem "Bad Habit" in the soundtrack. 'twas good stuff.

i got pushed off the top of the screen by a police car. A nice game, but I think more could happen when you hit another car, like making it spin across the road, squishing anything in its path.
