Its replacing the code "show" with the url "Array"... I can't find anything in the code that would make it do that either :-S

When I type ">" followed a closing parenthesis ')' my text has a smiley added on i.e. "<some text>)".

Also the following:
"< )" == "<)"
"> )" == ">)"

Presumably because it applys the smiley filter after it escapes all the html entities. The semicolon on the end of the < code gets nabbed with the curly bracket to make a winkey.

> + ) = >)

Code:
> + ) = >)

Happens in code tags too, annoyingly.

It should probably only parse smileys when they're surrounded by at least one space on both sides.

The whole smilie implimention was a quick and fast knock up. I'll revise it eventually.

Wood's latest thread in the news forum isn't in the news.

That's normal as far as I know, try admin --> submit news! Then at the same time a thread will be created in the news forum.

This way you can also make news threads that don't appear on the front page.

So it was intentional?

Yes. News is submitted through the news module, with the option of having a thread created for them too in a specific forum, which for all intents and purposes is just any old forum.

I thought it would be better this way around, every little thing we document doesn't need to be on the front page. It was easier for me to do anyway.

You know, the system I made on The MI3 lets one edit news just by editing the post that was made in the news forum, and that was from a PHP noob on an unfamiliar message board. It's really quite exhilirating.

So when we come to do an RSS feed for the news, how will it pick out which items should be visible?

SO MAYBE WE SHOULD HAVE USED IT.

Don't listen to me, though.
