I hope this doesn't overshadow the Boolean Soup comp, but www.retroremakes.com is holding another retro inspired/based competition this year, with £thousands in prizes, including a super gaming laptop, two Pandoras, Hydra game systems etc. etc. and loads of other bits and bobs that everybody would sell/kill/swap their family members for. You've got a full three months (and a few days) to get something done. With six different categories (including one for a very deserving cause), there should be something for everybody. So if your inclined to do some coding (or want to offer assistance in other areas), then go on over to Retro Remakes and see what's happening. Go on, have a go

and the "game for helen" category is kind of a wild card for original non-retro games! Except they must be accessible. And arcadey.

Nice, well organised competition with great prizes indeed. It's a shame I currently can't go where the candy is at, but hopefully the competition will be a success and there will be a similar competition in a couple of years.
