Tomorrow it iz not a working day because of the holy virgin mary who rises to heaven or something. Space rocket is older than I thought.

Maybe I have time to work on this game. A few minutes. 30 or something. lol.

I need a tile editor for the background, maybe I can find a standard tiles editor? or you lend me one. And I try to read the output file with fenix? Because I do not have time for this kinda crap, and it is here were my other projects failed :p

Yesterday I fixed a bug, merely by talking about the bug to Sandman. He didn't actually helop me but his vibes through msn made the bug be solved. The stupid mistake was that I mixed up Y++ with going up and Y-- going down, while it is the other way around. That reminds me of how long I have not programmed fenix. Making such silly mistakes.

Now I possibly need a tile editor, but I don't wanna program one. Does one exist yet? :p I might make a universal one. :p For Dennis-projects.

About "the chaos engine"? I will make the chaos engine or spazer. Wait, I mean I will make the chaos engine xor spazer, but we don't use xor in speech, so let me make that an exclusive OR:

(I will make the chaos engine or I will make Spazer) and (I will not make the chaos engine or I will not make Spazer).

Even such a small detail deserves a new post in my posting behaviour.

Hi,

Well, the small program has been made bigger. Now it contains random test enemies that can be shot. just to test.. If people wanna try it, just ask.

I forgot to upload it (I needed to go to bed yesterday lol). There were even still errors in it.

Someone let me know that it is awfully small and I shouldn't make it fullscreen with a resolution of 320x240

It looks better in 640x480 but it is awfully small and you can hardly see the animations. Resizing results in a very blocky effect. I heard once of a program that allowed resizing without losing the "look" or appearance of the game in low resolution, but unfortunatelty I forgot the name.

I was surprised I've spawned that without an explosion generator. I used only a blur tool within Graphics Gale and some pixel skills, that seem to pop up like mushrooms on a moisty soil decorated with wet autumn leaves in a landscape of various brown-tinted colours!!11one

And yes it is square, that does not have a reason though.

I only used 4 colours to make this graphic.

Ok, I have a confession to make. I have been playing Silent Hill 4 instead of working on this game.

I did SOMETHING so here it is. A status update.

I always think movement and playability and smoothness are very important. But it must feel a bit realistic. I've just done that by perfecting the controls of the ship.

I also wrote a document for the first level, and I thought of other shooters such as gradius and axeley and super aleste, etc, etc,... what made it fun to play them? Together with that I made some kind of theme, and a plan for the first level. Since the whole game must have a so called "red thread" I'm still thinking.

I think it just needs a lot of action, luckily I noticed I can make zounds and zounds of more processes at the same time, than back in 2001. Most people's machines are better too. I do not have older machines so people with older machines are free to test my game when it progresses. I'm not too spare with memory in my programs so...

Anyway, thanks for following up.

Yesterday, or the day before yesterday, I made a small program that allows control of the ship.

The resolution is 320x240. because games in 320x240 are amazing. And it's easier for me.

You shall have to wait a while for updates... Let me explain why I never finish a game anymore.

Basically I get up at 7:30 am, and go to work at 8 am, so I am there at 9 am.
Then I am there 8 hours, and more. sometimes until 5:45 or 6 pm.

Going home is a mess. All the roads are jammed during the peak hours. So with luck I am home at 7 pm or 7:30 pm. Sometimes 8 pm.

Then I am home, very tired of all the programming at work and wanting my mind to be fixed on something else, and I have dinner. Then I rest a bit or I go to fitness or have music with he band. After that it is often 11 pm or 12 am. After that I can sleep 7 hours before I have to get up for work again.

Basically I just don't have time.

I don't have holiday at this moment either. I won't have holiday for a long time (think months, not weeks).

In the weekend I just don't feel like programming anymore. I just sleep almost constantly those two days.

Any suggestions to overcome this are welcome... :s

Dunno if I'm gonna keep this up. I have a busy agenda. But tonight I felt like making a SPRITE.

look well, and you'll see it is animated. I tried to learn from Ariels Yust's pixel art. I can't make large pics, so it will be a low-res game probably.

The first version is going to be very VERY simple.

1 level, some enemies, some music, some sound effects.

lol.

Gotta start from somewhere. :p

greetz. (I hope i finish this, I didn't make it myself too hard this time, so it's gotta work)
